Ivone Fraiha Clark

Ivone Fraiha Clark – Classical Voice & Piano.  Ivone Fraiha Clark holds a Master’s of Music Education degree from Campbellsville University in Kentucky.  She also holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree from Academia de Musica Lorenzo Fernande in piano performance as well as a Bachelor’s of Music in vocal performance from Universidade Estácio de Sá.  Both universities are located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Ivone is currently working on her Ph.D in Music Education degree.

Ivone is a full lyric soprano with a repertoire of oratorios, cantatas and arias for opera. She sang as an effective soprano soloist for the Classical Orchestra of MS and Chamber Orchestra of Fundaçao Barbosa Rodrigues, Brazil. She has performed for audiences throughout Brazil, North America, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and even given special performances for two different Popes.

Ivone was the head of the National Festival of Choirs in Brazil for ten years. In Brazil, she was honored with the Business Woman of Year Award, a medal from the Army and Air Force, and the Wesleyan Wrought Silver Plate from the Methodist Church.  In Italy, she was awarded a Gold Medal at Fenegro Music Festival.  As a soprano soloist, she recorded a CD “Canto da Saudade” with music from Brazilian classical composers and a DVD “Matinas do Natal” with music composed by José Maurício.  Ivone is a former Music Professor at Universidade Católica Dom Bosco and Universidade Federal do MS in Campo Grande,  Brazil.
